Modesty Blaise - A Poem by Russel Iles

When there is danger
From those who think that crime pays
Then they haven’t reckoned
With ‘Modesty Blaise’.

She and her partner
Garvin’s his name
Will seek out the criminals
And put an end to their game

A black belt in judo
And high kicks galore
Any foe that attacks her
Will end up on the floor

An expert sword fencer
An hot shot with a gun
She’ll make them pay
For the evil they’ve done

With model like looks
And raven black hair
Don’t let her looks fool you
Well you can if you dare

So look out you criminals
If you think that crime pays
She’ll be coming after you
Her name is Modesty Blaise
